API and App

Lambda consists of 2 products:

1. API for builders;
2. Portfolio app for end users who manage assets and DeFi strategies.

Product Choice

Lambda gives you free will to consume DeFi data your way. There are 2 types of Lambda users: engineers who want to integrate data into their apps and DeFi investors who want insights into their portfolios.

1. If you are a backend/data engineer/quant analyst and need our data for your DWH or backend, use the API. Use cases: DeFi strategy rebalancing, portfolio dashboards.
2. If you are a **mobile app/front-end engineer **and need data for your mobile app or front end, use the API. Use cases: wallet, portfolio tracker, DEX dApp.
3. If you are a treasury/portfolio manager/DeFi investor, use the App for the end purpose. The Portfolio App is built on top of the Lambda API. Use cases: treasury in a VC fund, DAO token management, DeFi investment strategies in investment funds, public reports of hedge funds.

Unique data value

We built Lambda to address the following use cases, and we provide unique value in each of them:

1. Track your Tokens and DeFi portfolio. Get real-time data on the Web3 assets you hold and the DeFi investments you’ve made. We track 20k+ tokens and 3k+ protocol positions. The Unique value is its data coverage: all these tokens and protocols are available across 30+ EVMs and Solana.
2. Portfolio performance analysis. We collect historical DeFi position data separately for balances (own funds) and rewards (generated by the protocol). The unique value is the ability to separate protocol rewards from a user’s own funds in Profit & Loss analysis. We calculate this in token value to distinguish the rewards factor from price changes.

3. DeFi recommendations for rebalancing. We analyze a user’s historical portfolio, holdings, and DeFi positions to estimate missed income, creating powerful and personalized CTAs. You can use this data to rebalance your portfolio. If you are a wallet, you can generate push-ups to drive TVL into DeFi protocols.
